A Glazing System is a window-wall system or curtain wall system with spandrel, all calculated using the methodologies outlined in ISO 15099:2003: Thermal performance of windows, doors and shading devices -- Detailed calculation and Specification J1.5b - Spandrel panel thermal performance.
Step 1 - After you have created a Team and Project, access the Glazing Systems App from the Dashboard or Studio and click Create Glazing Systems. Select a Project and give your Glazing System a name.
Step 2 – Layouts are either generic are supplied by a supplier. Either option is a great place to start. You can also filter all Glazing Layouts for your specific requirements. Let’s use a generic template and the example ‘Fixed Double Glazed 150mm Aluminum - Thermally Broken’.
Step 3 - Once you have selected the Fixed Double Glazed 150mm Aluminum - Thermally Broken, the next step is to add your preferred materials. At first, you are presented with generic materials for all material layers. Within each material layer, simply add a product by clicking on the generic material and find the most suitable product for your project.
Step 4 - Once you have added a product to all material layers, you will see results updated on the right-hand side of the screen, with additional NCC 2019 – Vol 1 (NCC) guidance to tell you if you have met the Performance Requirements. The sliding results bar illustrates if you are on track.
Step 5 - Finish up by clicking on the Performance Solution button, and you can down your NCC 2019 - Vol1 compliance report.
