Specification JVa, JVb and JVc combine to set out the requirements that need to be included within a thermal modelling process if undertaking a Performance Solution such as JV1: NABERS Energy for Offices, JV2: Green Star or JV3: Verification using a reference building.
Specification JVa: Additional Requirements
This specification intends to ensure that any additional requirements not being met by the modelling processes for JV1, JV2 or JV3 are picked up and met independently via Specification JVa: Additional Requirements.
For example, should a project be providing a Performance Solution via JV1: NABERS Energy for Offices - additional requirements for supplementary tenant heating and cooling systems, car park ventilation and lighting, heating, cooling and ventilation equipment are not covered in NABERS base building requirements. Therefore, to meet the Performance Requirements of JP1 - Energy Use, the additional obligations set out in Section 3 of Specification JVa: Additional Requirements must be met.
Specification JVb: Modelling Parameters
Specification JVb: Modelling Parameters are the requirements to be modelled when undertaking a JV2: Green Star or JV3: Verification using a reference building Performance Solution. Specification JVb: Modelling Parameters states the modelling input requirements for both the Reference Building and the Proposed Building for greenhouse gas emissions to be presented and compared. Such inputs include building fabric, services and greenhouse gas emission conversion factors.
Specification JVc: Modelling profiles
When undertaking Performance Solutions such as JV1: NABERS Energy for Offices and JV2: Green Star, specific modelling profiles are provided by the rating tool administrators.
However, when undertaking a JV3: Verification using a reference building Performance Solution, Specification JVc: Modelling profiles provide the occupancy and operation profiles for all Building Classes and therefore a consistent methodology to provide a comparison between a Reference and Proposed building.
