Site Shading enables you to account for adjacent structures. These could be local buildings or any other structure at any width or height. It is a highly flexible approach that can also be used for localised vertical shading.
Step 1 – Under the Building panel, select Site Shading.
Step 2 – Within the ribbon above the drawing space, select Draw Shading. Left-click on the point in which your Shading starts and again where it stops. Once done, give your Shading structure a name.
Step 3 – Next, navigate to the Shading panel on the left. Here you will see the default height and length—Left-click to adjust the Shading structure, where you can adjust the opacity, height and gap.
Step 4 – The final step is quick. Simply hit Save. You will now be returned to the Site Shading drawing space and can continue to add as many Shading structures as you like.
