Renewables allow projects to account for the generation of renewable energy anywhere within the drawing space. Only solar photovoltaics are currently available. Once added to a project, the energy generated will be accounted for within the annual energy consumption of the design.
Step 1 – Under the Building panel, select Renewables.
Step 2 – Within the ribbon above the drawing space, select Draw Solar Arrays. Left-click on the point in which your Array starts and again where it stops. Once done, give your Array a name.
Step 3 – Next, navigate to the Solar panel on the left. Here you will see the default azimuth and estimate of PV capacity. Left-click to adjust the Solar Array, where you can adjust surface coverage, cell efficiency, azimuth, tilt, gap, distribution and row size.
Step 4 – The final step is quick. Simply hit Save. You will now be returned to the Renewables drawing space and can continue to add as many Solar Arrays as you like.
